Councilwoman Keisha Lance Bottoms Twitter feed is decked out with pretty pictures of the Atlanta celebs and average Joes supporting her. In the clutter of endorsement portraits, Creative Loafing spied a local few rappers who claim they’re ‘passionate’ about Bottoms’ mayoral platform goals.
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, in a pic emblazoned with #StandWithKeisha, said his passion is “education, youth empowerment, and community involvement.” Bottoms has been flaunting education improvements as the spearhead of her campaign.
Not surprisingly, Ludacris seems to be buds with Mayor Kasim Reed, and he even has his own restaurant at the airport Reed spoke at its grand opening.
Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., best known as T.I., noted in his photo endorsement that Bottoms is the best equipped to “keep the A on top” whatever that means. Interesting enough, he too is a pal of the mayor and a former Atlanta restaurateur.
Both artists have thrown their weight behind a Democratic politico before.
Miles Parks McCollum, aka Lil Yachty, flashing his pearly golds for the camera, said his top priority this election season is putting “affordable housing in all parts of ATL.”
Plus, Fast and Furious star Tyrese Gibson’s mug also sits proudly on Bottoms’ social media scroll. During the presidential election, Gibson helped plug Hillary Clinton’s campaign with Reed at a fundraiser which raked in some $60,000.
