Preservationists fighting the demolition of the building that once housed Engineer’s Bookstore scored a temporary victory on Friday. The director of the Atlanta Urban Design Commission has nominated the Marietta Street building and surrounding structures for historic protection.

Who is he and why does he keep showing up at protests?... How is he in a meeting with the mayor when the people who set it up were not allowed in?”

The bizarre courtroom interaction between a Georgia judge and a defendant that included the phrase “fuckman-ass,” a masturbation challenge, and death threats has received the Adult Swim animation treatment.

Downtown’s Thornton Building, a 1932 Art Deco building one block from Woodruff Park, will soon get a $3 million upgrade.

Park officials have closed Martin Luther King, Jr.,’s childhood home in Old Fourth Ward until a structural issue can be repaired.
