Quick Bites: Hattie B's announces Atlanta location, BLT Steak to close on NYE, and more

Nashville’s famed Hattie B’s Hot Chicken will open its first Atlanta location in the former laundromat across the street from the Wrecking Bar Brewpub. Eater reports that the restaurant should open in late 2017 at 299 Moreland Avenue N.E and will offer all of the menu items offered in Nashville, including the “shut the cluck up” spice level chicken.
BLT Steak (45 Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd. N.W.), located in the W Atlanta — Downtown, will close on Dec. 31 and reopen the next day as the W Kitchen. There will be no changes to the in-room dining menu, but the restaurant will serve a modified menu new, according to What Now Atlanta. Concierge Diana Skuodas says the hotel will develop new menus.
Tierras Alto, the former Cafe Highlands which underwent rebranding late this summer, has closed. The Sweet Auburn BBQ team is looking at their former neighbor’s space, according to What Now Atlanta.
Cabbagetown will reportedly get a neighborhood bistro called Petit Chou, French for little cabbage. The restaurant will open “soon” at 662 Memorial Drive S.E. in Cabbagetown and serve “classic comforts,” according to its Facebook page.
Recently opened Midtown bistro the Federal added breakfast, lunch, and brunch services this week. As of Dec. 6, breakfast is served Monday-Friday from 8-10:30 a.m. and lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Brunch service begins tomorrow, Dec. 10, running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.https://www.facebook.com/petitchouatl/?ref=page_internal

California-based Midici Pizza has filed plans to open a location at 999 Peachtree in Midtown. The Neapolitan-style pizzeria will take over the space most recently occupied by En Paris clothing boutique. Former Cobb Energy Center executive chef will be the franchisee, according to What Now Atlanta.
Poor Hendrix at the Hosea + 2nd development has obtained its liquor license. The restaurant now offers cocktails like the Negroni, Hemingway Daiquiri, and French 75 as well as beer and wine alongside the comfort food menu.
