Back in 2015, Atlanta-based Little Barn Apothecary founders Joshua Morgan and Brad Scoggins decided to dive into a business venture that took an age-old idea and brought it into modern times. Their unisex bath and body products contain organic, plant-based ingredients in simple packaging — items include exfoliating scrubs, spray-on body oil, face masks, dry shampoo, and aftershave tonic. To date, they’re stocked in more than 400 spas and shops around the world.

With a thriving brick-and-mortar location at Westside Provisions District, the duo has decided to open a 700-square-foot second location, in the idyllic planned community of Serenbe in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia. “Our brick-and- mortar storefronts allow us to meet our customers in-person and guide them through various remedies, so that they can feel, smell, and test products to find the perfect fit,” says Morgan. “Serenbe is a natural partner for our brand because of its close tie to nature — the new space is airy and sun-drenched, with an outdoor courtyard and downtown location in Serenbe village.” Along with their own LBA products, the shop will also stock artisan, sustainably minded wares from the likes of Moon Juice, goop, Jurlique, and Saint Olio.

They also plan to host guided meditation and yoga classes in the courtyard, as well as “masking parties beneath the stars,” according to Morgan. Along with the new store launch, they’re debuting a handful of new products — roller balls, soaps, cleanser, mists, and more. “Little Barn Apothecary was born and bred in Georgia,” Morgan adds. “We’re dedicated to making our products from scratch, with wild-harvested and organic ingredients. By purchasing pure, plant-based products made here in Georgia, our customers are helping to reduce the toxic chemicals so commonly found in beauty products.”
