Brian Wilson plays the Fox Theatre Nov. 7
The Beach Boys co-founder and long-heralded music genius plays songs from ‘Pet Sounds’ and more
As a founding member of the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson is one of those rare musical talents who has found a majestic balance between layers of harmony, heart-swelling emotion, and simple, powerful songwriting. For this tour, Wilson revisits his hits of the ’60s and ’70s, placing an emphasis on the songs of Pet Sounds, of course. Singer, guitarist, and fellow Beach Boys co-founder Al Jardine, and long-standing guitarist Blondie Chaplin lead a large ensemble through a greatest-hits setlist that’s bound to include everything from “God Only Knows,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” and “Sloop John B” to “Good Vibrations” and “Sail On Sailor.” Wilson is a living legend, and his ensemble always delivers an elegant rock ‘n’ roll performance.
