CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: MARCH, 2021

An ongoing tally of the number of coronavirus cases, COVID-19 deaths, counts on those who have been tested, and those who have been vaccinated in the United States, as we enter the second year of the pandemic. While three vaccines are currently available in this country, the threat is far from over, and wearing masks, washing your hands, and social-distancing are still necessary precautions in the fight against this pandemic

Monday, March 15, 2021

Today marks one of the lowest levels of new active COVID-19 cases over a 24-hour period in the U.S. since last Spring.

That is in the midst of mainstream media relentlessly airing news that a “fourth outbreak” is on the way due to spring break, beach parties in Florida, and “ignorant” states like Texas and Mississippi removing COVID-19 restrictions.

And yet we hear little-to-no coverage of the rising new active COVID-19 cases in New York and New Jersey. Those two states combined represent one out-of-every four new active COVID-19 cases. The “seven northeast corridor states” represent over 40 percent of new active COVID-19 cases.

The active counts in Texas continue to decline whether folks are wearing masks or not. The active counts continue to decline with kids back in school. The counts continue to decline even with folks dining inside restaurants — activities that remain banned in New York and New Jersey.
