The proprietors of Atlanta eatery Breakfast at Barney’s awarded $1,000 scholarships to four winners of an essay contest aimed at HBCU students during an on-site ceremony on Tuesday, July 27, according to a press release. Co-owners Rashad Sanford and Barney Lee Berry, both alumni of Morris Brown College, had challenged contestants to explain the significance of HBCUs and why they chose to enroll. breakfastatbarneys.com
