Midtown High School students and staff got to celebrate two new monikers and a $34.9 million renovation during a ceremony this week. Both the school and its stadium had originally been named for the 19th century white supremacist Henry Grady. The stadium is now named after the late Eddie S. Henderson, a coach and principal and the first African American to become a certified athletic director in Georgia. reporternewspapers.net
