A comprehensive strategy for the future efforts of Atlanta’s Parks and Recreation Department is being rolled out by city government. The Activate ATL Master Plan will address inequities and geographic disparities, ensuring that future investments will be prioritized in underserved areas, according to a press release. The plan calls for an interactive Equity Data Tool that “identifies neighborhoods with the greatest need for park investment and capital improvements,” and will track and evaluate the impact of the department’s work over a period of time. atlantaga.gov
