Atlanta’s police department will be led by an assistant chief while a search continues for a permanent replacement for the retiring Rodney Bryant, AP News reported. Darin Schierbaum joined the force ten years ago and served as a liaison within the LGBTQ and Hispanic communities and as a training commander overseeing implementation of the Obama administration's policing reform recommendations. apnews.com
