Offset is ticked off

A rift is deepening between members of the Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos, its record label Quality Control, and the group’s leader Offset, according to Variety. Offset is suing the label for claiming rights to his recent solo releases, for which he “paid handsomely,” his complaint asserts. Quality Control still oversees Migos as a group, but Offset alleges the label’s claim of ownership over his solo output is “wrongful and knowingly violates Offset’s rights to his own music.”

A rep for Quality Control replied to the suit, saying, “Not only are the accusations in this lawsuit false, they are totally detached from reality. Offset remains a part of QC. Back to business.” Meanwhile, the other two group members, Quavo and Takeoff, are playing gigs under the band name without Offset. Details: variety.com
