Can furniture exist as sculpture? Are handmade leather totes fine art for your sleeves? Ponder these questions at Brick + Mortar, a curated vintage and home furnishings store, as they host a party celebrating their latest pop-up for two local brands: fashion designer Megan Huntz and leather goods by KMM + CO at 7 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 10. Huntz, an Atlanta native and CL's 2013 fashion designer to watch, will be debuting her fall line (featured above in Brick + Mortar's display room, and yes, those are real Bertoia chairs the models are sitting on). KMM + Co. will be slinging their version of industrial, responsibly made leather goods, whose simple statements would look equally as appropriate in a MARTA station as in a museum gallery. The party is free and sponsored by Foothills brewery and West Egg, so don't worry about spending a penny. However, be wary of hesitation: the pop-up only lasts two months, and the leaves will start falling sooner than you think.
