Thread ATL presents a community forum on the impact of urban design on our daily lives.

Urbanism is much more than just aesthetics & buildings, it’s livable cities. Come hear — and join in — a discussion about the way the design of Atlanta neighborhoods affects our daily lives in good and bad ways.

SPEAKERS

Alan Holmes is a social media marketer/entrepreneur who cares a lot about the city and fighting blight. He is: -

  • Owner of Media Strategies, a social media management firm
  • Co-Founder of Blyght (http://blyght.co/)
  • Member of the City of Atlanta Code Enforcement Commission

Lauren Welsh is co-founder of Thread ATL. She is: -

  • Owner of Mixte, a marketing firm serving nonprofits & foundations
  • External affairs officer and NPU-N rep, Candler Park Neighborhood Organization
  • Technical advisory committee member, Renew Atlanta
