The School of Public Health at Georgia State University presents the Atlanta debut screening of the documentary “Hilleman: A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children.”

Written by filmmaker Donald Rayne Mitchell and Dr. Paul Offit of the University of Pennsylvania, the hour-long film chronicles the life and public health accomplishments of Dr. Maurice Hilleman, developer of the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) and other life-saving vaccines.

This moving film won Best Documentary recently at the SCINEMA International Film Festival in Australia, which honors films about science. The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmaker.

The event is free and open to the public.
