Mary Edna Fraser’s Rising Tides illustrated talk covers her years of experiences as a master batik artist, an oil painter and a climate change activist. Fraser explores recent work and residencies; discusses her preferred tools, mediums and creative processes; and touches on her work with Duke University Professor Emeritus Dr. Orrin Pilkey. The duo has published Global Climate Change: A Primer and A Celebration of the World’s Barrier Islands together. Reception and exhibition sneak peek to follow.
