Anyone playing six-degrees of separation with singer/songwriter Darrell Scott better have some time on their hands. As either a sideman or songwriter, Scott has worked with dozens of roots musicians from the most commercial to the more obscure and was even a member of Robert Plant’s Band of Joy. As a solo artist, he’s a soulful, emotional vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with about a dozen albums to his name. He tours behind his latest, The Couchville Sessions that finds him dusting off previously unreleased tapes and tacking a few rearranged covers like a searing version of Hank Williams Sr.’s “Rambling Man.”
