Categories: Literature<br><br>Please register at http://emorylib.info/beats-buddhism. A celebration of the rich connections and intersections between Eastern traditions and American poetry. The evening will feature Emory faculty reading Buddhist poems in their original languages, including Japanese, Tibetan, Sanskrit, Pali, and Chinese. Students will then read Beat poetry in English, responding to the Buddhist tradition. A reception will accompany the readings. Co-sponsored by the Rose Library and Emory’s Department of Religion.
