From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, volunteers will contribute to the growth of the farm by harvesting and planting organic fruits and vegetables, site cleanup, and painting. Event will begin with a welcome from Bobby Wilson, founder of Metro Atlanta Urban Farm, and Cam Christian, Director of Community Engagement for PlantLANTA ©. Keynote speakers Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham (East Point, Ga), Terrence Moore, city manager of College Park, and student volunteer engagement leader from Georgia Tech will also speak before the volunteering begins. @kparyo will be setting the atmosphere by DJ’ing throughout the entire event. All participants will receive a FREE t-shirt, lunch provided by Chick-fil-A, a certificate of completion for service credit, and will be automatically entered into A3C Hip-Hop Festival ticket raffle.
