Collaborative art from a 1940s-era edition of the classic book “Little Women” created by 25 Atlanta women.
Through painting, collage and poetry, the artists weave their own sister stories with the beloved 19th-century tale of sisters Meg, Jo Amy and Beth. Collaborators include visual artists, writers, performers and creative souls including
Flora Rosefsky, Teresa Crowder, Ruth Schowalter and Sylvia Cross.
The project was initiated by Jesse Harris, sparked by a found cache of childhood drawings, an antique copy of “Little Women,” and the creative impulse to alter the book and tell her own sister story.
