Author Sean Covey will discuss the unique challenges facing adolescents and young adults in today’s society and how young people and families can build resilience to meet those challenges. Sean Covey is a New York Times best-selling author and has authored a dozen books, including: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens; The Leader in Me: How Schools and Parents around the Globe are Inspiring Greatness, one Student at a Time; and The 6 Most Important Decisions You’ll Ever Make. A panel discussion led by Raymond J. Kotwicki, MD, MPH, Skyland Trail Charles B. West Chief Medical Officer, will follow Sean Covey’s keynote address. The panel, featuring the Georgia State University Center of Excellence for Children's Behavioral Health, will focus on school-based mental health models and crisis prevention and early intervention in schools and family systems.
