Friday January 25 Comedian Cliff Cash (Comedy Central UpNext, Laughs on FOX, XM radio) will headline Atlanta’s Relapse Comedy Theater. Cash’s past was an upbringing that included everything from tongue talking to Nascar. It ironically and perhaps accidentally shaped his present: being a devout progressive seeking to use Comedy as activism where he thoughtfully hides pieces of truth between layers of humor and shines the light of levity into the darkest corners of the human experience. Cash walked away from a career in recycling and environmental activism in lieu of using his voice and humor as an instrument for change. “A lot of us comedians are seeking success in the form of getting famous. As much as I’d like that, I’m seeking success in the form of getting effective. I want to make people think. I want to make an impact”.
