In 2018, the Carlos Museum received the Senusret Collection from the Georges Ricard Foundation. The collection of approximately 1,500 objects includes Late Period coffins with mummies, gilded funerary masks, finely crafted bronze statuettes, and a collection of ancient glass. Enjoy afternoon tea and scones as Dr. Melinda Hartwig, curator of ancient Egyptian, Nubian, and Near Eastern art, discusses one of the remarkable pieces in the collection, a fragment of a royal sarcophagus from the Amarna Period.
