Atlanta Freedom Bands celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with a globe-spanning concert and an informative presentation. The evening begins at 6 PM with “Ocean Visions”, a presentation by Dr. Emanuele di Lorenzo from Georgia Tech’s School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences discussing new efforts to rescue our oceans. Then at 7 PM, AFB’s 70-piece Concert Band takes the stage with majestic music that evokes the beauty of our planet and the cultures that inhabit it, music that paints tonal pictures of scenic and spiritual places around the globe.
