Oglethorpe Theatre Program presents the virtual performance Cultivating Brave Spaces: An exploration of race, equity, and visions for the future. November 12, 13, 14 at 7:30pm
In the foreground of the seemingly endless rioting and political turmoil of the past year, Cultivating Brave Spaces is an exploration of where we are as a community of young people who struggle and resist, feel and question, think and hurt. Using Jesmyn Ward’s book The Fire This Time as inspiration, 11 brave OU students have written their own performance that explores what it means to be black, to be white, to be POC, to be non-binary, to be (insert here), to be (insert here)...... to JUST BE..... in America in 2020. They have challenged themselves and have something to say. Now, will you listen?

This is a free virtual event streamed and performed live each night.
