Southern Fried Writers is a read-aloud critique group (fiction, nonfiction, and screenplays of all kinds accepted) meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. at Manuel’s Tavern in the Eagle’s Nest.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
♥ 2,000 words or less (that’s about 4 single-spaced pages or 8 double-spaced pages).
♥ If you’d like written feedback to take home, be sure to bring copies so that we can read along and make notes. Bringing 5 copies usually works (we can share copies if we need to).
♥ We read in the order in which submitters arrived.
WHAT TO BRING
☺ A light jacket or sweater since the Nest can get pretty cool.
☺ Cash to tip the wait staff (optional, but encouraged).
☺ 3 or more copies of your submission selection (5 is a good number for most nights).
☺ Your appetite. There’s lots of yumminess on the menu!
