It provides connection, the free exchange of knowledge, design thinking and community building. Each year the Festival brings together independent designers, established brands, young talent, international speakers from academia, NGOs and government entities, exhibitions, installations and architecture tours.

Friday’s highlights:

‘Design and the Black Image.’ Omari Souza, Assistant Professor, Communication Design, Texas State University, will discuss how print design and print graphics have used symbolism to reinforce negative stereotypes and the awareness required to avoid conscious and unconscious pitfalls.
