From the venue:

The AJC Decatur Book Festival returns this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the First Baptist Church of Decatur. You will need to register in advance to attend.

Born in downtown Decatur over Labor Day Weekend 2006, the AJC Decatur Book Festival has grown to be one of the largest independent book festivals in the country — and the fifth largest in the world! Each year, attendees mingle with hundreds of world-class authors and book dealers at book signings, readings, and soirées. This year’s featured authors include Carol Anderson, author of White Rage, and The Second: Race and Guns in a Fatally Unequal America; Martin Padgett, author of A Night at the Sweet Gum Head: Drag, Drugs, Disco, and Atlanta’s Gay Revolution; and Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Olen Butler, author of Late City. Many panels and local authors.
