Join Constellations, Sweet Auburn’s historic & happening shared workspace, for its next author talk. Robert F. Barsky, author of Clamouring for Legal Protection: What the Great Books Teach Us About Fleeing from Persecution, will discuss the approach his book takes: an illustration of law and literature, taking a look at beloved characters like Odysseus, Moses, Aeneas and Alice in Wonderland, and the obstacles they face, in comparison to those faced by contemporary refugees and undocumented persons in today’s world.
Enjoy wine, light bites and thought-provoking conversation. Attendance is free, and books will be on sale, with proceeds benefitting Human Rights Watch: Refugee Division.
