Summer Pleasures
The annual group exhibition at Thomas Deans Fine Art, features a changing display of paintings, drawings, and sculptures by artists who show with the gallery regularly. As always, the exhibition also includes some surprises from new artists. The artists in the exhibition hail from all over the United States. Exceptionally popular North Carolina artist Marlise Newman will present a group of new paintings. California artists Sharon Paster and Elaine Coombs (both from San Francisco) and Amber Goldhammer (from Los Angeles) will also present recent work. Artists Tracy Burtz and Thaddeus Radell represent New York, and Donald Beal and Charlie Bluett represent New England. A number of artists represent Atlanta and north Georgia, among them Tom Francis, Anthony Greco, Daniel Byrd, Ana Guzman, Evan Jones, Carl Linstrum, Brent Baker, David Kidd, Gwen Wong, Eileen Braun, John Stanford, Lauren Betty, and Jeni Stallings. Lauren Betty is contributing new mixed media paintings featuring dyed fabrics and netting to create beautiful and poetic abstract landscapes. And Jeni Stallings continues to create dreamy and fanciful surrealist paintings in the series “Sail Away (or Stay)” inspired by the cabin fever brought on by quarantines during the recent pandemic. The exhibition opens on Saturday 18 June and continues through 20 August. The gallery will host a reception for the exhibition during the Miami Circle Gallery Stroll on 16 July, 4:00 - 6:00 pm.http://thomasdeansfineart.com
