What a powerful way to celebrate the first federal observance of the Juneteenth holiday by experiencing the debut concert of the Challenge the Stats Juneteenth Orchestra on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 7 pm! String Awakening is a free event featuring an all BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) orchestra of professional and student musicians. The concert will include music, dance, and drumming influenced by the African Diaspora. It takes place at First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, 1328 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA. 30309. It is presented as part of the Concerts @ First Series.
