From the venue:
Ambassador Andrew Young and AJC reporter Ernie Suggs will visit Emory to discuss Suggs’ recent book “The Many Lives of Andrew Young.” Young, a prominent civil rights leader alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1960s, will share stories from his time at the forefront of the civil rights movement, as well as his days as a U.N. ambassador and transformative mayor of Atlanta. The conversation, part of Emory’s observance of Black History Month, will be followed by a Q-and-A session. Books will be sold at the event, and a book signing will follow the conversation. Sponsored by Emory Libraries; Emory University Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; the Carlos Museum, and the Decatur Book Festival.
