Dance Party: Renaissance and Baroque Dance

Sunday May 7, 2023 03:00 PM EDT
Cost: Free

From the venue:

Lauda Musicam collaborates with Atlanta Historic Dance in this concert of early dance music. Dancing was an important part of society in the Renaissance and Baroque, creating a symbiotic relationship between dancers and musicians. Dance treatises left information about choreography and musical accompaniment styles, both brought to life through this collaborative performance. A short audience dancing lesson will follow the concert. The concert is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 1790 Lavista Road, Atlanta, GA 30329. www.laudamusicam.org
