Lloyd Benjamin’s work reads as tectonic abstractions. By drawing inspiration from the impressions of his studio practice, Benjamin’s artwork manifests impermanence, rhythm, and improvisation through silhouetted pilasters both absent and present. Benjamin’s exploration of form and the interplay between space and materiality manifests on paper, collage, and sculpture.
