Aanika’s Elephants

From Sesame Street staff writer and children’s book author Annie Evans, comes a story of compassion and courage. 

A young African girl named Aanika befriends a baby elephant named Little on her father’s animal reserve. When Aanika’s father passes and she goes to say goodbye to Little, she is then “adopted” by a herd of elephants. With her new family, Aanike learns the civil and beautiful ways of elephants. However, Aanika must show courage and bravery when her newfound family is threatened by looming poachers.
