From the venue:
Fernbank’s “Winter Wonderland” exhibit tells stories contributed by local consulates and community partners to fill the museum with arts, crafts, symbols and ornamental displays. While popular winter holidays will be represented, “Winter Wonderland” takes this opportunity to represent a variety of secular and nonsecular holidays and traditions from around the world.
Numerous cultural partners from across the globe will have displays in “Winter Wonderland,” including Sweden, Norway, Mexico, Argentina, India, Costa Rica, Latvia, Kenya, Philippines, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, Japan and many others.
Guests will be able to view “Winter Wonderland: Celebrations & Traditions Around the World” through their own exploration of the museum or by following a scavenger hunt that leads viewers to explore the glittering and educational details of the trees and other displays.
“Winter Wonderland” can also be enjoyed on select evenings when visitors attend our monthly adult (21+) science nights at Fernbank After Dark or the inspiring outdoor, nighttime experience, WildWoods: AGLOW, which returns from Nov. 10 through Feb. 25, 2024.
