CRITIC’S PICK: Remember these guys? I do, mostly because somebody once called me “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” Maybe more than once, actually. Maybe several times, even. At any rate, this “alternative light,” early 90’s poppy band with popping songs could be a study in how vocal syncopation and a good drummer can engage the listener even when the lyrics are silly and a lot of their catalog is pretty much the same song played slightly differently. That doesn’t sound like much of a recommendation, but I’m recommending them anyway, because they are lively and fun and happy-sounding. Hopefully, my moniker still suits me and won’t be quite as ironic this time around.- Shannon Marie Tovey
