HBCU Culture Battle of the Bands Tour

The event will include six HBCU marching bands that will give jaw-dropping performances: Talladega College, Fort Valley State University, Texas Southern University, Alabama State University, Benedict College, and Alabama A&M University. Each participating marching band will receive a $20,000 scholarship and educational experiences from HBCU Culture Legacy Foundation. This event attracts sought-after band performers, HBCU alumni, and supporters from across the nation with precision drumlines, high energy routines, marching band techniques, show-stopping dance teams, including live performances by local and national artists.
Sunday, January 14, the HBCU Culture Fan Fest, powered by proud sponsors Amazon, Publix, and Hibbett Sports, will start the event day festivities at State Farm Arena from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Overflowing with a wide variety of exciting activities, the festival attendees will enjoy fan giveaways, DJ, live performances featuring local high school bands, and a College & Career Fair presented by community partner, Goodwill of North Georgia. Parents and graduating high school students will receive resources and learn more about enrollment into HBCU schools (with waived college application fees). Job seekers will have the chance to engage with onsite recruiters for career opportunities from over 20 employers. The festival will include a vendor marketplace, as well as delicious food trucks, local eateries, and sponsor activation.
