Thomas Deans Fine Art is happy to announce the upcoming exhibition, “Linda Mitchell: Secrets,” featuring a mesmerizing collection of new mixed-media figurative paintings, predominantly on paper, by noted Atlanta artist Linda Mitchell. The exhibition opens on January 19 and will run through February 17. An opening reception for the artist is scheduled for Friday, January 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 pm. “Secrets,” which the artist subtitles “a year of personal meanderings on paper,” is the result of the Covid era and a conscious uncoupling from social media. The resulting “quiet space” nurtured Mitchell’s explorations into new media and techniques. To give clues to the inner meanings of the paintings, the artist adds hand-written text to the images.
