From the venue:

Join storyteller Josie Bailey and hear the traditional tales that came from Africa with enslaved people who shaped the culture of the Southeast and America. Bailey focuses on West African stories and traditions, where most enslaved people in North America originated, and she shows the connections to the Gullah culture of the coastal Southeast. The original enslaved people of Roswell were largely brought from the rice plantations of coastal Georgia and Gullah descent.
