CRITIC’S PICK: Both LS and ZZ Top seem a relic from a (somewhat) bygone era in which a particular type of southern man was, well, proud to be a particular type of southern man. But if you take the sexist and other un-p.c. lyrics with a grain of salt, the bad boy thing taps into the (lowercase) rebel in all of us. The loss of bearded bassist Dusty Hill (replaced by Elwood Francis) puts a bit of damper on the ZZ Top experience, and LS contains, I believe, just one original member, but it will be, nevertheless, a show replete with band and crowd energy. – Shannon Marie Tovey
