Community & Unity, the City of Lawrenceville’s newest art exhibition, can now be viewed on the Main Level of City Hall throughout February in celebration of Black History Month. This collaborative effort with the School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett and Discovery High School and talented community artists, Dane Caston and Myia Paige, showcases a collection of impactful works. Visitors are invited to view the works on display Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Through the lens of talented local artists and high school students, the works explore themes of resilience, strength, and unity, providing a profound glimpse into the diversity within the Black experience. Each piece individually captures unique facets of the Black experience, presenting a varied range of perspectives and narratives. Collectively, these works interweave to form a tapestry of diversity and community, transcending individual stories to reflect the interconnectedness within the Black experience. Viewers are invited to witness the harmonious coexistence of diverse narratives, emphasizing shared struggles, triumphs, and the vibrant diversity within the Black community.
