Polar View, Ritual Day, Extinction Age, Hospice
From the venue:
"Polarview are an alternative rock/shoegaze band from Baltimore, Maryland. They recently released a new EP called Inventory on Strange View Records. It’s streaming on their Bandcamp right now.
Opening track “Porcelain Spine” is a short, 90-second introduction to the EP with a midwest-emo feel to it, especially in the finger-picked guitars that carry through the track. Then “Out to You” comes in with a more grungy vibe straight out of the 1990s. “Inertia” is similarly grungy, with its muddled guitar chords and pointedly apathetic attitude. “Sanctum” slows things down a bit to revel in a little darkness, this time fusing grunge and ’90s emo together to create a truly disaffected attitude in the music. Then “Hullbreaker” brings in a little bit of punk guitar and scattered drums to build a sense of cacophony and chaos that’s jarring and beautiful at the same time."
