CRITIC’S PICK: Logan Ledger & Jeremy Pinnell, Eddie’s Attic—Nashville by way of San Francisco singer/songwriter Ledger has a big, beautiful, smooth voice he uses to wonderful effect on retro-styled Americana that sounds larger than life. Think Roy Orbison and Chris Isaak singing countrypolitan and you’re close. He got a lot of publicity as the next big thing, but although his two albums are widescreen, often cinematic sounding keepers, he hasn’t broken through to a large enough audience to validate his talent. The equally gifted Pinnell injects doses of blues into his easy rocking, rootsy country. This terrific bill is Americana at its most unique and finest. — Hal Horowitz
