ZEBRA FUN FACTS!
Origins and Influence: Zebra was formed in 1975 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and quickly made a name for themselves in the New York and Long Island club scenes. Their music is heavily influenced by classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and Rush, which is evident in their powerful vocals, intricate guitar work, and dynamic compositions.
Debut Album Success: Zebra’s self-titled debut album, released in 1983, was a significant success. It featured the hit singles “Tell Me What You Want” and “Who’s Behind the Door?”. The album went gold, and its success helped the band secure a strong following in the 1980s rock scene.
Longevity and Legacy: Despite numerous changes in the music industry, Zebra has maintained a dedicated fan base over the years. They continue to tour and perform, showcasing their classic hits and maintaining their reputation as a powerful live act. In 2010, they were inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, recognizing their contributions to rock music and their lasting impact on the industry.
