The Junior Jazz Foundation of Hilton Head was formed to preserve Jazz through education and live performance. The spirit of The Junior Jazz Foundation is to make sure that schools and promising young artists get the instruments, music lessons, and facilities they need. It ensures that young musicians are endowed with scholarships to fulfill their American musical heritage.The rising stars are formed each year through a nomination process, and perform to inform people about the non-profit mission of the JJF and to help raise money for scholarships and outreach programs.Musicians are:Trent Patten: Trumpet (from South Carolina now residing in Atlanta)Reed Jorgensen: Sax (Atlanta based, currently at Ga Tech)Isaac Lourie: Guitar (just started at Berklee College of Music in Boston)Kenneth St. Hillaire: Bass (South Carolina)Mimi Terry: Piano (Knoxville, student of Eric Reed and Donald Brown)Keegan Mack: Drums (Tallahassee, student of Leon Anderson) $35.00
