Join us for a uniquely immersive experience at OUMA! The Opening Day Celebration for ’‘Feel the Music: Deaf Creatives at OUMA’‘ includes performances at 2 p.m. by Robbie Wilde (thatDEAFdj) and Briana Johnson (Beautiful the Artist). Video/Listening booths will be active! Grab some headphones and join the ”silent disco” with music by Robbie Wilde and equipment provided by Black Out Experience. Giveaways provided by host organization, Oglethorpe University Museum of Art. ASL/BASL interpreters provided by the SOS Agency. Additional support provided by the Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This exhibition is co-curated by Aleatha Lindsay, Founding Director of the Ikouii Creative and Elizabeth Peterson Jennings, Director of the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art.
Artists in this exhibition perform and exhibit regionally, nationally, and internationally and all are proudly part of the Deaf Community.
