About this event
Come learn the secrets of tree identification with Ranger Jonah! Can a tree’s leaves, branches, bark, and seeds can give us clues to its species? Can we identify 20 different species of trees in the park?
This program is designed for elementary & middle school kids and their families. The content of this program will likely be over the heads of younger children.
We will walk 2 hours for about a mile on paved paths, boardwalks, and dirt trails. Wear appropriate footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle and hiking sticks if you need them. Meet at the South Peachtree Creek trailhead near the Tennis Center (McConnell Dr & Mason Mill Rd). Registration open to 12 kids, plus their grownups.
