Ariela Freedman with special guests Lapidus & Myles live at Eddie’s Attic!

Ariela Freedman is an Atlanta-based vocalist whose music draws from a wide range of styles, including folk, spiritual, musical theater, and contemporary genres. This is a release concert for Ariela’s third album, In Passing Light, which reflects on the fleeting nature of life and its moments, reminding us that everything is temporary, including joy and sorrow. You can find Ariela singing with her trio, The Mamalehs, and in the alto section of Congregation Bet Haverim’s chorus. Known for her love of making music with others, Ariela invites you to an evening of songs from In Passing Light, featuring accompaniment by Will Robertson, selections by The Mamalehs, and inspiring pieces by special guests Lapidus & Myles.

Lapidus & Myles: Music for People of Conscience, is a collaboration between two faith-based musicians in Atlanta. Micah Lapidus is a reform rabbi and composer-in-residence at The Temple. Melvin Myles is a highly regarded soloist with the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church Choir, former pulpit of MLK Jr. Evocative of the longstanding ties between the Black and Jewish communities and a model for all people of conscience who understand that we are better together and need each other, their music and message is infused with a spirit of love, respect, peace, and justice.
