When it comes to playing guitar in the style of Gypsy swing maestro Django Reinhardt, Joscho Stepah is a bona fide alien virtuoso. The West German native’s astonishing instrumental chops, flair for imaginative arrangements and penchant for crazy mashups make him a showman of the highest order. His setlists run the gamut from Le Jazz Hot classics, Miles Davis and tango to Stevie Wonder, bossa nova and the blues.
Fans of Tommy Emmanuel/Paco de Lucia/Ralph Towner who aren’t familiar with Stepah, do not miss this concert at Waller’s, the coolest coffee joint on the east side of town, which will also feature Stepah's longtime collaborator, Sveng Jungbeck, on guitar.
