Vince Gill, Fox Theater: Way before he joined the Eagles, Vince Gill was one of America’s most respected, award-winning country artists — Hit records and songs, multiple GRAMMY© awards, headlining tours, hosting high-profile country TV shows — he’s done it all. Additionally the “reluctant superstar” (his website’s words) is an incredibly accomplished guitarist, as his album Guitar Slinger implies. And Gill is one of the few country artists respected by roots Americana fans along with more commercially-minded ones. With a bulging songbook that reaches back decades, it’s impossible to predict what he’ll play, but whatever he chooses will be classy, tasteful and representative of his many talents, including that of an emotionally vibrant vocalist. — Hal Horowitz
